Spring Is Here!!

Today Nico and I spent the day at Lake Calhoun. The lakes are a place that I have a feeling he and I will be spending a lot of time at this spring/summer and fall. We got a new jogger that we both have to get used to. A.- Nico is a little young to be in it, so he has a hard time sitting up. B.- I am SO out of shape. I had no idea how much you utilize your arms when jogging to propel yourself. When you have your hands on the stroller handles it is so much harder to jog than normal. I had NO idea! I have a lot of work to do.. geez!

I love the fact that I can work and answer emails and from virtually anywhere!!! It allows me to take days like today and enjoy them with the boy! My hubby on the other hand doesn't think it is so cool all the time :)

Watching his every move....

This little boy is getting so dang big! You MUST belt him into his chair otherwise you will find him a few minutes later halfway off of the chair from all his wiggling and kicking. I walked out of the kitchen to go turn on the water for the cats in the bathroom (pictures of those high maintenance family members soon).. when I came back this is how I found him. I shouted "NICO GIOVANNI" and his big ole smile is what followed! I better practice sounding more stern!

Tummy Time and Bumbo'ing...

We have been practicing tummy time and sitting in the bumbo lately. Nico really doesn't care for either but we keep working on him! Thanks Maren Hobson for the pretty purple Bumbo...I think it is a great shade on him! :)

MOA- Underwater World!

On Saturday we went to the MOA to Underwater World with Grandma Renee, Grandpa Dick and two of Grandpa Dick's grand kids, Hailey and Brodi to celebrate their birthday's which are in May. What a blast! At the request of my husband whom in his past life I am sure was a marine biologist we paid extra to go on a behind the scenes tour to see all kinds of stuff that the general public does not get to see. I rolled my eyes at register but ended up having a great time... just watching Hailey and Brodi was worth it in itself! Mario is really excited to teach Nico all about the sea and its creatures... do they make snorkel and/or scuba gear for infants?????

Thanks goodness we brought the Bjorn.. strollers/camera's/purses, or basically anything you carry in your hands were not allowed on the "BTST".. our very enthusiastic tour guide saw the confused look on my face as she said "BTST" and kindly stated "Behind The Scenes Tour".... this was serious stuff :)

Congrats to Anne!

Our friends Anne and Scott are getting married June 21st. Saturday night the girls went out for a night on the town to celebrate the upcoming event! We started at Chino Latino, went to Bar Abilene and then onto the Independent.. so fun and so excited for Anne and Scott!

Ok, am I trying to bring the 80's back??? Seriously, next time either the necklace OR the earrings, but NOT BOTH!!!!! I do like yellow this spring and summer but the above is a little much. Note to self- Have Mario take a picture of me before I leave the house next time....

Anne's sissy Ellen gave her this lovely "frock" shall we say that was their Grandmother's. The print is sure to come back in one of these days and you could probably fit 4 Anne's in that thing. Anne, what did Scott say of your new honeymoon wear??? Thankfully she got some other's that were more her style :)

ps- this is how we find him in the mornings now. SO happy just chit chatting away to himself. Mario and I usually fight over who gets to go in and get him. Life is good!

Great Day~

Today was such a great 1st Mother's Day! We relaxed and hung around the house and it was SO nice! Being a Mom is something that I just don't have the words to describe. The only one I can even think of is WOW!
