Last year Beth got a candy bra...this year she gets chocolate body frosting... I sense a theme here!

Ahhh, The Last Vacation For A While :(

The Saturday after Turkey Day we headed off on a little vaca! The 6 of us went to Vegas for 3nts of F-U-N! Here we are eating breakfast at our favorite greasy spoon, 'Bill's'...formerly and will always be 'The Barbary Coast' to us!

In front of the Wynn...where we didn't WIN! The weather in Vegas was sunny and 60, so no complaints... Unfortunately none of us were big winners...but after being up and down the entire 3 days I ended up walking away from Vegas with only $59 less than I brought. Not bad Nicholas...not bad!

After Las Vegas, Mario and I rented a car and drove 2 hours north to my Mom and Step-Dad's place in St. George Utah for 4 nights. It was beautiful scenery.. We spent 2 days hiking in Zion National Park (pictures below)... the last 2 days we got massages and watched many a re-run of Law and Order on TNT!

Mario decided he wanted our first hike to be the "Emerald Pools".. little did I know it was a 3 mile hike at an extremely steep incline. This is me about half way up saying "WTF am I doing?? I am in my 7th month of pregnancy"... I am not saying that I was in shape prior to pregnancy, however I have never worked out and felt my heart beat out of my neck before...is that bad?

After 2 hours of watching Mario build this I was getting crabby and wanting to go home...... I am sure the wind blew it over right after we left!

What Defines A Family!?

noun (plural fam·i·lies)
Definition:

1. group of relatives: a group of people who are closely related by birth, marriage, or adoption
2. people living together: a group of people living together and functioning as a single household, usually consisting of parents and their children

None of the above really defines it for us. To understand what defines our family (Mario and Traci)..see the pics below. I truly believe that we are extremely fortunate to have such a blended non traditional family consisting of marriage, friendly divorce, re-marriage, step daughters, step sons, step moms, step dads, in-laws, cousins, friends, friends dating our cousins, girlfriends, girlfriends children, boyfriends, nephews and grandchildren all coming together on the same day in the same house having SUCH a great time. For once, I can say I enjoy the holidays and that there is no where I would rather be than with these people in the following pictures!
