NOT Martha Stewart Or Even Close...

Ok, so we all know I do not have that Martha Stewart eye... the one where you can just put a room together using items you find here and there and make it all come together.. Well here was our first attempt to warming up our front door.. Jesus, it looks like it is on fire!! This was supposed to be a pumpkin spice color orange.. to me it looks like someone plugged it in. LOOK OUT MARTHA HERE I COME!

So we ended up repainting it after I lost sleep....

Kappa Kappa....

I just got home from two nights away, on a girls trip up north! It was hard to leave the little man, especially with him being all smiley lately, but I knew he was in good hands with Dad! Six of us gals (myself, Eryn, Connie, Toni, Danni Lynn and Special K) headed up on Sunday morning and got back late Tuesday afternoon. What a riot! The entire 48 hours we were up there was filled with hysterics. You know... when you laugh so hard and no sound comes out!?! That was us the ENTIRE time. We are a tight knit group and fit together very well... everyone has their role in our crew and it just works. It is not very often you find that! We got about 30 minutes north of Hopkins and had to make our first stop for a Bloody Mary!
Connie and her daughter Special K (Kristen)

Third pit stop was at the Blue Goose in Milacs! Prior to that we stopped at Grand Casino Mille Lacs where Eryn and I WON on the Turkey Shoot slot machine... Gobble, Gobble..
Had to play "The Claw" where we won this gorgeous stuffed star which we named Goose! Goose hung with us the whole rest of the trip!

This was some random guy that drove past our patio... we stopped him and Connie was the lucky lady who received a ride. A twenty minute ride that apparently would give Six Flags a run for their money. Poor thing came back in tears and needed a neck brace. Thank goodness she was wearing a helmet. We hid from him the rest of the trip...

The mosquito's were unreal! I can't even explain how many there were inside and out. I even had them in the shower with me...

Uh oh.. commotion over by the pool.. little girl screaming head off... her stupid mom let her pet a SNAPPING TURTLE and she got bit. Idiot. So we captured him with a broom and laundry basket and tossed him in the woods. 8 hours later as Connie and I were taking a midnight swim (ok 1:00am) in the pool, we bumped into him again.. literally....swimming with us in the pool. Idiots!

Happy Friday Everyone!!! Have A Great And Safe Memorial Weekend!

Spring Is Here!!

Today Nico and I spent the day at Lake Calhoun. The lakes are a place that I have a feeling he and I will be spending a lot of time at this spring/summer and fall. We got a new jogger that we both have to get used to. A.- Nico is a little young to be in it, so he has a hard time sitting up. B.- I am SO out of shape. I had no idea how much you utilize your arms when jogging to propel yourself. When you have your hands on the stroller handles it is so much harder to jog than normal. I had NO idea! I have a lot of work to do.. geez!

I love the fact that I can work and answer emails and from virtually anywhere!!! It allows me to take days like today and enjoy them with the boy! My hubby on the other hand doesn't think it is so cool all the time :)

Self Portraits.....

All that fresh air makes him sleepy... let's hope he pulls another "all nighter" tonight!
Uh oh...more annoying tummy time!

Watching his every move....

This little boy is getting so dang big! You MUST belt him into his chair otherwise you will find him a few minutes later halfway off of the chair from all his wiggling and kicking. I walked out of the kitchen to go turn on the water for the cats in the bathroom (pictures of those high maintenance family members soon).. when I came back this is how I found him. I shouted "NICO GIOVANNI" and his big ole smile is what followed! I better practice sounding more stern!
